Hinterland Community Care has partnered with the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) to help anyone in our community who has an NDIS plan to enjoy a more healthy, happy and connected lives.
Our Service Coordinators are there to connect you to the NDIS and to both main supports and community supports in our area.
If you would like to be more engaged in community arts or sports programs or live more independently, be more proactive with your health or achieve some further education goals, we can help. Whatever your goals or aspirations are we can help you achieve yours.
NDIS funds are used to assist you with the identified goals in your plan.
Your funding may be used flexibly. It’s there to help you to complete tasks to get you heading towards your goals and link you with services and supports that you need to assist you to have a full lifestyle.
Individualised Service
What can the NDIS help me with:
Participation
Assistance to engage in community, social or recreational activities associated with your disability and goals. Funding may be used for activities such as camps, vacations and outside school hours care, courses or membership fees.
Household Tasks
Using your funding for house cleaning is reasonable and necessary if your disability makes house cleaning difficult for you or you are unable to clean your house due to your disability.
Travel / Transport
To enable you to access disability support outside the home and pay for transport that helps you achieve their goals.
Develop Life Skills
Attending appointments, shopping, paying bills, social activities, maintaining contact with others.
Personal Activities
Personal hygiene, showering, bathing, oral hygiene, dressing, grooming.
Common Questions:
All NDIS applicants should live in Australia, be an Australian citizen or hold a permanent visa or special category visa; be aged between 7 and 65 years and have a permanent disability.

Support Coordination Services to NDIS Participants & Plan Management
We can help you with your NDIS plan by managing and monitoring budgets, your NDIS claims and paying your providers whilst maintaining your financial records.
We can also provide access to a wider range of service providers for your NDIS plan.
Understanding the NDIS funding and how it can best be used is at the core of our assistance to you.
